Fishing is good, about as good as it gets for numbers on Carters.  This is a great time to bring your kids and family to the lake and see them catch some fish.  I've had the pleasure to fish with a few father son teams the past week and we've wacked em on every trip. 

Figured I'd give a quick weekend report.  The boat traffic this weekend was crazy to say the least, but it seemed the fish bit even better with the wave action and all the running around that was going on.  Saturday Ronald H and I fished from daylight-12pm, we boated 20+ Spots with the biggest around 4lbs.  Sunday I fished with a great family, Ashely, his wife Torrie, and son 10yr old Riley.  We had a great day catching 25-30 Spots with the biggest two weighing

What a great month we've had on Carters.  I'm looking for more of the same in the coming weeks.  As the water temp increases look for the shad to finish their spawn and start moving deeper.  The majority of Spots will hold from 20-35ft feet when the water hits and holds above 80.  Check out these fish from this week.  Stay tuned to the Photo Galleries for more pics, added/updated every few days.

Fishing has been good this week for almost everything. I've been out 7 of the last 10 days or nights, sometimes both. We've been catching good numbers of Spots fishing 10-30ft deep with Spotsticker Jigheads rigged w/ Big Bite Worms and Spotsticker Handpours.

This has been the best March I remember.  I'm spending the majority of my trips fishing at night with a few days mixed in too.  We've boated a ton of giant Spots, Hybrids, and Stripers. 

The bite has been good lately.  The water is warming, the days are getting longer and it won't be long until everything is in full swing!  We've finally started finding some fish up shallow having good days this week on Spro McStick 110 Jerkbaits, big Assassinator Spinnerbaits, and as always Spot Sticker Jig Heads tipped w/ Big Bite finesse worms.  Some of these fish are large and hungry, just look at how this fish engulfed this big Assassinator Spinnerbait!
